What Is Oishi Park?

Oishi Park is on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi, known for its open lake views and Mount Fuji outlook.

When weather conditions are good, you can look out over Mount Fuji from the lakeside, with Lake Kawaguchi, the sky and the mountain together forming a layered landscape — a very representative viewing spot in the Lake Kawaguchi area.

Various seasonal flowers and plants are grown in the park: fresh green in spring, richer flower scenery from early summer into summer, and changing colours in autumn, so the same Mount Fuji view takes on a different atmosphere in each season.

Next to the park, the Oishi Park Hanaterasu Terrace has cafés and shops, suitable for a stroll, a rest or shopping after sightseeing.

Main Highlights of Oishi Park

Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji in One Frame

The greatest charm of Oishi Park is being able to admire Mount Fuji across Lake Kawaguchi. On a clear day, Mount Fuji unfolds in full across the lake — very suitable for sightseeing and photography.

Seasonal Flowers and Lakeside Scenery

The scenery in the park changes with the seasons. Spring is fresh, early summer to summer brings richer flowers, and autumn shows calmer colours, giving Mount Fuji and the lake a different seasonal feel.

Oishi Park Hanaterasu Terrace

The Hanaterasu Terrace next to the park brings together cafés and shops, so after sightseeing you can rest a while — and Oishi Park is more than just a brief photo stop.
